It took about an hour or so to get through customs. No issues with our luggage and we were set to go. Fernando Grajales was waiting right outside the airport with a large van to take us to our hotel, El Portal Suites, and we arrived just after 16:00. We unpacked a bit, took a quick nap, and then explored the town. Mendoza was a ghost town when we arrived, but that all changed as the sun disappeared. The park was hopping with people and all of the restaurants were packed. We chose La Florencia to enjoy some Argentinian cuisine. We decided to save the steak and wine for after our summit attempt, so we loaded up on on some great bread, soup, and pasta.
