We had a very rough night's sleep due to the high winds. It was almost eerie, because as we tried to sleep, we could here the wind coming down the slopes to Camp 1 until it finally reached us shaking the tent violently. We awoke quite tired and the wind showed no signs of letting up. We decided to take a rest day at Camp 1 with the hopes that the wind would die down for our cache the following day. We took it easy for most of the morning. During the afternoon, we went over to the snow slope just across the glacier melt and messed around with our crampons and ran through some last minute exercises in preparation for the glacier. The Swiss team successfully cached at Camp 2 enduring the high winds. We were targeting Friday or Saturday for a Summit and tomorrow we would have to proceed with our cache.
